Here is a collection of vendors that I trust and use… (will update with more as I feel like it)- If you utlize any of them, be sure to tell them that Ryan Clarke sent you!
µControllers and Electronics
Mouser : Tend to have the best pricing of the ‘major online electronics vendors’
Digikey : If you need it, and you can’t find it anywhere else, Digikey has it. Be prepared to spend some time navigating the site though.
Jameco : Nicer website than Digikey, but they don’t have everything…
Ti e-Store : If you need ultra-low power µcontrollers, check out the 430 line from Ti
EFX-Tek: The best customer service in the haunt/uController industry! Check out their products~
Parallax, Inc.: Creators of the Basic Stamp, one of the most widely supported microcontrollers in the industry. Their new chip, the Propeller is just now starting to gain momentum.
Sparkfun : Great company, very personable. Usually at Maker Faire, they’ve been advertising in Make lately. They make lots of breakout boards for other products, and like most of the Make community are Arduino-centric most of the time.
SkullTronix: Producers of talking skulls, and now fully articulated skeletons- Winners of the IAHA 2009 best new product award
Juggling Equipment
Renegade Juggling : Great to deal with, respond quickly to email or phone calls. Top notch.
Misc.
ThinkGeek: They bill themselves as “stuff for smart masses”. And that’s just what they are. Great t-shirts and other geek-centric toys and things.
